What is the World Diversity Leadership Summit?
The World Diversity Leadership Summit is an important gathering of senior corporate, government and non-government organization (NGO) officials, focused on the complex challenges and opportunities related to global diversity management.

On-site Registration hours?
Wednesday, September 16th 8am-4pm
Thursday, September 17th 8am-3pm

How many people attended the conference last year?
Last year’s attendance consisted of over 500 participants.

What attire is appropriate for each event?
Business casual attire is the appropriate attire for the conference events.

Program

Can I choose which breakout session to attend?
Yes. You will be able to select breakout sessions when you register, based on availability. Be sure to check the box of which workshops you’d like to attend when registering.

Are there any evening events?
Yes. The conference opens with a welcome reception on Wednesday and Thursday, September 16th and 17th.

Registration

How much is the conference registration fee?
* Early bird registration (May 26th – August 15th): $995.00
* General registration (August 1st-August 31st): $1295.00
* Late registration (September 1st – September 9th): $1495.00

Can I register on-site?
No.

Does my registration fee include hotel accommodations?
No. Your registration fee includes participation in the conference sessions and breakout sessions, conference materials, opening and closing receptions.

WDLS has negotiated a special rate of $209/night, occupancy rates not included, at the Hilton Washington. A limited block of rooms are available, so book your hotel room early.

Can registered participants attend all the sessions and events?
Registered participants have open access to all activities listed in the conference agenda.

Can I purchase single tickets for individual events?
Single tickets are not available. Only full conference packages can be purchased.

Are meals included in the registration package?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch and hor d’oeuvres are served each day of the conference including the Receptions.

What if I have to cancel?
Cancellations received on or before Friday, August 14, 2009 will NOT incur a cancellation fee. $75 will be charged for all cancellations after August 15, 2009. No refunds will be issued after Monday, August 31, 2009. All cancellations and name substitutions must be submitted in writing via email to info@wdlsummit.com.

If I have already registered but cannot attend, can I send someone else in my place?
WDLS
will accept a name change if the request is received in writing via email to wdls@glowmediaNY.com
by August 15, 2009. All name change requests must be submitted by the original registrant.

Am I responsible for arranging and paying for my own air travel?
Yes. 

How much will a cab ride from the airport to the hotel cost?
Approximate cab fare from Reagan National Airport (DCA) to the Washington Hilton Hotel is $25, from Dulles National Airport (IAD) to the hotel is $40, and from Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) to the hotel is $50.

Is there a Shuttle Service from the airport to the hotel?
There are various shuttle services that leave from the airports to the hotel. Registrants are encouraged to reserve this service at their own discretion.

Is there a walk-up Limo Service?
Registrants can reserve this service at their own discretion.

What time is hotel check-in/check-out?
You may process your check-in time anytime upon your arrival. Your room will be ready at 3:00 p.m. The bell desk can assist with luggage handling and storage. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

Are gratuities (i.e. tips) included or is this my responsibility?
WDLS is covering the gratuities for the banquet staff only during the conference. Tips for hotel service such as bell stand, valet, housekeeping, etc. is at your discretion and your expense.
