Metro
Directions – to IMF by Subway
Orange
Line
The nearest metro station on the Orange Line is Farragut
West (about 3 blocks from the IMF). Exit at Farragut West
Station via the 18th Street escalator. Walk west on I (EYE)
Street one block to 19th Street. Go left (south) on 19th
Street and continue across Pennsylvania Avenue. IMF headquarters
has two buildings: HQ1 visitors' entrance is at 720 19th
Street, NW. and HQ2 visitors' entrance is at the corner
of 19th St and Pennsylvania Avenue. From Foggy Bottom Station – walk south about 2 blocks
down 23rd Street, NW. Turn left onto H Street, NW and go
east to 19th Street, NW. IMF
visitors' entrance is at the corner of 19th St and Pennsylvania
Avenue.
Red
Line
The nearest station on the Red Line is Farragut North (about
3-4 blocks away). Exit Farragut North Metro Station. Walk
west for two blocks on K Street NW until you reach 19th
Street, NW. Go left (south) on 19th Street and continue
across Pennsylvania Avenue. IMF headquarters has two buildings:
HQ1 visitors' entrance is at 720 19th Street, NW and HQ2
visitors' entrance is at the corner of 19th St and Pennsylvania
Avenue.

Merge onto Arlington Memorial Bridge

Turn left on 23rd Street NW

The ride will last about 12 minutes by car from DCA
Airport to the IMF.
Dulles
International Airport – IAD
1.
Follow signs for Washington, D.C.
2.
Continue on VA-267 (Dulles Access Road merges into
VA 267) for about 16 miles

Exit at I-66, heading towards Washington DC
4.
Exit at E Street, keep left
5.
Turn left on 18th Street, NW, and go Northwest for
about 1000 feet
6.
Turn left on Pennsylvania Ave NW and go Northwest
for about 500 feet
7.
Turn left on 19th Street, NW.
8.
The ride will last 33 minutes (up to 50 minutes in
traffic) by car from IAD Airport to the IMF.
Baltimore-Washington
International Thurgood Marshall Airport - BWI
1.
Follow Signs to I-95 West to Baltimore/Washington

Take Exit 2B MD 295 South Baltimore/Washington Parkway
3.
Continue on MD-295, BW Parkway and go Southwest for
about 24 miles

Follow the Signs to Washington
5.
Merge onto US-50 West
6.
Stay straight to go onto New York Avenue, NW
7.
At 7th Street, MW, New York Avenue becomes Mount Vernon
Place, NW
8.
Continue straight for 1 block, merge right onto Massachusetts
Avenue
9.
Continue on Massachusetts Avenue to Thomas Circle
10.
Take Thomas circle around to M Street, NW
11.
Continue on M Street, NW to 19th Street NW

Turn left onto 19th Street NW
13.
Aprox. 49 minutes (up to 1hour & 10 minutes w/
traffic) by car from BWI Airport to IMF.
Airport
by Amtrak
Most
trains arriving to Washington, DC arrive at Union Station.
To get to the IMF headquarters, either take a taxi or take
the Red Line Metro from Union Station to Farragut North.
From there, it is about 3 - 4 blocks to the IMF buildings.
